Matt Walker – Travel Director
After being heavily involved in Villa Carlotta Travel as CEO for five years, Matt has recently become a co-owner of the business.
Matt is passionate about providing excellent holiday experiences to Villa passengers. On a personal level, Matt loves travelling! On a professional level, much of his career has been spent in the travel and tourism industry. Matt has worked for large scale tourist attractions in Australia and overseas in various sales, marketing and management roles, which gave him the opportunity to travel across the UK, Europe and North America. He later went on to become CEO of a large membership based tourism association in the South West, and has been with Villa for the past five years.
Matt works alongside founding business owner, Margaret Buswell, and manages Villa’s team of Tour Leaders, Coach Captains and head office staff.
Villa Carlotta Travel continues to provide an extensive range of escorted tours within Australia and overseas, and in response to increased demand, also offers fully independent tailored holidays through experienced in-house travel agent, Karen Jones.
Karen Jones – Travel Agent
Villa travel agent, Karen Jones, has travelled extensively within Australia and overseas, and draws on more than 20 years of experience to deliver excellent customer service.
Karen is knowledgeable about all aspects of travel, but admits to having a particular passion for cruising.
Although Karen specialises in making travel arrangements for semi-retirees and retirees, she also enjoys the variety of looking after young couples, families and corporate travellers.

Kelly Winch – Travel Office and Logistic Manager
Delivering more than 100 tours annually requires excellent management and organisational skills. Fortunately for us, we’ve had Kelly Winch at the helm of our travel office for the past 11 years.
Kelly is an absolute gun at developing our WA and interstate tours, managing staff, problem solving and logistics. Over the past decade at Villa, Kelly has gained an intimate understanding of all aspects of the business and has in-depth knowledge of tourism destinations and products within Australia.
Kelly’s attention to detail in the planning phase of developing each Villa tour ensures passengers enjoy their trips with us so much that we are able to welcome them on many more holidays.
Candice Grunder – Product Logistics Coordinator
Candice has worked in the travel industry in a number of different roles for decades and has travelled across the globe.
Candice liaises with Villa’s preferred suppliers to put together a great range of international group tours. From short breaks to Singapore, to comprehensive tours of New Zealand and cultural journeys of Vietnam, African Adventures and European River Cruises.
Candice specialises in crafting those once-in-a-lifetime bucket-list experiences that we all dream of doing.
Marnie Davis – Group Travel and Marketing Coordinator
After starting her career in the media industry, Marnie, has enjoyed working in travel and tourism in her role at Villa for the past six years.
As well as booking passengers on their favourite holidays, Marnie organises Villa’s presentations, expos and events, keeps our website up-to-date and distributes regular e-newsletters.
Marnie also coordinates large groups for a hassle-free booking experience.
