Begin with time in London before taking to the seas aboard not one, but three of Cunard’s famous Queens. This European holiday takes you from historic cities and sun-soaked coastlines to the fjords of Norway and the chance to see the Northern Lights.

Sailing aboard Queen Victoria, Queen Anne and Queen Mary 2 is a rare experience in itself. Each ship has its own personality, giving you the chance to enjoy three different sides of Cunard as you make your way across Europe. Spend time among the canals and medieval streets of Bruges, call into the French port of Cherbourg, then head south to Lisbon, where colourful neighbourhoods climb the hills above the Tagus River.

The scenery changes again as Queen Mary 2 turns north for Norway. Bergen’s colourful waterfront gives way to unbelievable fjords and mountain scenery, while Trondheim and Tromsø take you further into Norway’s Arctic north. By day, explore towns shaped by centuries of seafaring history. This holiday begins in Southern Africa, where the wildlife takes centre stage. Head out on game drives through Chobe National Park, cruise the river in search of elephants and antelope and experience the sheer scale of Victoria Falls as the water crashes into the gorge below. There’s also time to slow things down aboard the Royal Livingstone Express, enjoying dinner as the train makes its way through the African bush.

Then it’s on to Cape Town, where you’ll board Azamara Onward and swap safari drives for life at sea. The voyage follows Africa’s Atlantic coastline to Namibia before continuing to far-flung St. Helena, Cape Verde and the Canary Islands. From there, Morocco, Gibraltar and Spain bring a change of pace, with historic cities, local flavours and plenty to explore along the way. By the time you arrive in Barcelona, you’ll have travelled from African wilderness to Mediterranean shores, with some wonderfully unexpected places in between.
