Start in Wilpattu National Park, home to the island's unique "willus" water basins, before heading to Dambulla to climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress and safari through Minneriya National Park in search of leopards, deer and wild elephants. Continue to the Knuckles Mountain Region, visiting the Dambulla Cave Temples en route, then explore Kandy's Temple of the Tooth Relic and the Royal Botanical Gardens, Asia's finest. In Yala, take on the rugged terrain of Sri Lanka's oldest national park on a 4x4 safari, spotting elephants, leopards and crocodiles among the dry scrubland. The journey ends in Colombo with an open-air jeep city tour, taking in Galle Face Green and the Aththidiya Bird Sanctuary before departure.
